Why QC Photos Are Non-Negotiable
Quality control photos are your last line of defense before an item ships internationally. Once a package leaves China, returns become extremely difficult and expensive. ACBuy's QC system gives you the power to inspect every item before it ships — a privilege that direct buyers simply don't have.
ACBuy provides standard QC photos for every order, but you can and should request additional angles for anything that matters to you. The QC team speaks English and is responsive to specific requests. Think of it as having a personal inspector on the ground in China.
Standard QC Checklist by Category
What to check for each product type:
- Sneakers: Overall shape, sole thickness, toe box, heel counter, logo placement, tongue tag, insole print, lace quality
- Hoodies/Sweaters: Fabric weight, print quality, embroidery detail, zipper function, hem evenness, tag placement
- T-Shirts: Print clarity, fabric feel (request texture close-up), collar shape, seam alignment
- Jackets: Zipper function, lining quality, pocket stitching, logo accuracy, overall construction
- Accessories: Hardware quality, stitching on straps, logo embossing, zipper pulls, lining condition
- Jerseys: Number/name font accuracy, fabric breathability, collar construction, patch quality
How to Request Additional QC Photos
Getting the photos you need from ACBuy:
Submit Your Order
After ACBuy purchases your item, it arrives at their warehouse within 1-5 days.
Wait for Standard QC
ACBuy automatically takes standard QC photos and uploads them to your order page.
Review and Request More
If you need additional angles, use the QC request feature in your order dashboard. Be specific: "Please show the right heel counter" or "Close-up of the tongue tag font."
Make Your Decision
Approve if satisfied, or reject if there are quality issues. Rejected items can be returned to the seller for a refund or replacement.
Proceed to Shipping
Once approved, select your shipping line and pay for international freight.
Red Flags to Watch For
Common defects and how serious they are:
| Factor | Option A | Option B |
|---|---|---|
| Blurry logo/text | Severity: HIGH — reject | Indicates poor print quality that won't improve |
| Minor color variation | Severity: LOW — usually accept | Screen calibration differences are normal |
| Loose thread | Severity: MEDIUM — request fix | ACBuy can often trim minor threads |
| Wrong size tag | Severity: HIGH — reject | Wrong size shipped, must be corrected |
| Sole yellowing | Severity: HIGH — reject | Indicates old stock or storage issues |
| Slight asymmetry | Severity: LOW-MEDIUM | Minor asymmetry is common even in retail |
Communicating Effectively with ACBuy QC Team
The ACBuy QC team handles thousands of orders daily, so clear communication is essential. When requesting additional photos or reporting issues, be specific and use reference images when possible. Instead of "the logo looks wrong," say "the Nike swoosh appears too thick compared to retail — please provide a close-up comparison angle."
For rejections, clearly state the reason and what resolution you're seeking (refund, replacement, or seller return). ACBuy's dispute team is generally responsive and fair, but vague complaints are harder to resolve than specific, documented issues.
Keep in mind that QC photos are taken under warehouse lighting, which can affect color perception. If you're unsure about a color, ask for photos in different lighting conditions before making a final decision.
